I haven't yet finished my 20mm Top Malo House, however when I was at Vapnartak speaking to Barrie from Timecast about his 10mm Falklands range I checked out his Top Malo House in 15mm. Now it is just about usable for 20mm and saves time scratching it, plus for about £6 its very cheap as well as being an attractive casting. The photo below shows the casting with a 20mm figure for scale. Later, Dougie.
A lovely looking model and great value. Scale wise, looking at the door next to the figure, I would say it was very suitable. If you wanted to give it a bit more height, you could always build the underneath up a bit as part of the terrain.

It certainly looks fine - the windows look like they fit in with the figure so I think you could use it as is - although I'm sure you'll turn it into something wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that Dougie. Looks just the part to me. I'll def order or pick one up next time I see them at a show (I always worry about resin in the post). Did you see if any of their other 15mm items would work as well?
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Pete.
Yup Pete all the 15mm stuff would probably be fine, the rock runs are good as well, saves me using my Woodland scenics moulds !

Excellent news - thanks. Am very taken with the bases of tents nestled within the rocks... More stuff to add to the order.

Pete, they're all nice, I picked up all the items in 10mm, very impressed.
