White Dragon Miniatures 28mm Modern Brits

I saw the new White Dragon Miniatures 28mm Modern Brits at Salute in April and was very impressed with the quality. I already have a full Platoon of Empress Brits so a bought a pack of 4 figures to see what they painted up like. Here's the link to White Dragon Miniatures
The figures are cast in a plastic resin which is very easy to work with.

More 20mm Falklands stuff

Recently received a nice package from Rolf Hedges at Liberation Miniatures with some of his latest 20mm Falklands stuff in. This included Argentine GPMG teams, prone and SF versions, and 2 further packs of Argentines, 1 with googles on helmets and 1 with the pile lined field cap to add a bit variety. British wise was a pack each of intantry, 1 with berets and 1 with cap comforter. Again to add variety to the units. Looking forward to painting up some samples! All Rolf needs to do Argentine wise now is a .50cal team and the Longdon scenarios are looking good !

Sgts' Mess

Just a quick update, not ordered any products from Sgts' Mess before but I've very impressed! Parcel arrived within 48hrs, a small order of 20mm goodies for Winter of '79.
A Flying Pig, 2 LandRover Snatchs, some UK small arms and a sheet of number plate decals. The vehicles are nicely done and very reasonable, updates as I build them. The link for sgts' Mess is below;

Rogue Miniatures latest releases Part 1.

Rogue Miniatures are a figure company local to me specializing in single 1 off figures that need no introduction. Have a look at their website here . The figures are very high quality and when I was asked by the owner of the company to slap some paint on I couldn't say no. I have to apologize to Andy for not sorting this more quickly, but my new job, which was supposed to be part time has morphed its way into 40-50 hours a week. Sorry mate, I'm on it now.
The first 3 figures are an unpleasant chap from Eastern Europe/Asia with dark armour continually banging on about there being only one?!?, an immortal guy from Scotland and a John Bormanesque Arthurian knight.

The figures cleaned up, based and primed.  I'm following my usual technique of doing the base before priming and painting the figure.

Spectre Miniatures

Well folks the postman has delivered my kickstarter from Spectre Miniatures. Spectre are a brand new company that lauched at Salute this year, followed by their Kickstarter, Here's the link,

 I saw their preproduction figures and a stunning African terrain board at Salute this year and I was well impressed.
We're looking at 28mm ultra modern figures and their initial release covers Africa so we have generic Militia, Paramilitaries, Special Forces, Contractors and covert Agents, think Blood Diamond or Sky 1's Strike Back.

The packs come in nice boxes with packaging reminiscent of weapon crates, very nice.

I was one of the 51 backers who opted for "The Intelligence Agent" pledge, which got me 12 packs of figures and all their freebies, I also couldn't resist their resin PMC Technical,

To round off these are very very nice figures, excellent sculpts and the research is spot on, They're all imaged on the website, link at the start of the post, I've also got a copy of their playtest rules that complement the figures and on first reading they look good, very highly recommended!!!

More 28mm Modern goodness from Empress

Those of you who visit here regularly know how much I rate the 28mm Modern Brit range from Empress and I'm using them for my Skirmish Sangin set up, well here's some of their latest offerings, a cracking mortar team and a useful pack containing a dog handler, a guy "Barmering", a light mortarman and a female medic, also more head packs including PARA berets with a particularly "Aley" tom sporting his cap badge over his left ear, perfect! The sculpter has obviously had correct references! All I really want for their Brit range now is a sharpshooter with the 7.62mm L129A1 and a sniper team with 12.7mm L121A1 Anti-Material rifle and his spotter with a laser rangefinder! Here's hoping!
